Environmental report

Beginning in 2007, the City of Luxembourg draws up an environmental report each year, which is used to analyse key environmental factors and continuously adapt its environmental actions based on a comprehensive plan.

In a city that grows that by 2-3% per year, these actions play a crucial role in protecting the environment by preventing adverse ecological impacts.

Environmental action plan

The City of Luxembourg's environmental action plan is pioneering, in that it identifies and coordinates the complex interplay between various different factors: urban development, mobility, energy, climate protection, biodiversity, air quality, noise pollution, drinking water, waste waster, waste disposal and more.

Thanks to the City's environmental actions, its residents, workers and visitors can enjoy a healthy environment and contribute themselves to the protection of the environment.
