Second Chance at Schluechthaus

Every year, thousands of tonnes of clothes and books in excellent condition are thrown out, and this contributes to climate change. To help counteract this phenomenon, the halls of the Schluechthaus will be hosting a massive second-hand market from 10:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, 20 October 2024. Come check out the wide range of items being sold at bargain prices against this stunning urban backdrop.

Second-hand clothes and book sale

Around 20 stands will be selling pre-loved clothing for adults, teenagers and children, jewellery and fashion accessories, shoes, and more in the main hall of the Schluechthaus as part of a second-hand clothes market. There will also be a giant book stand run by volunteers well-versed in the world of the written word, who will be delighted to use their knowledge and passion for reading to help you find just the book you're looking for. These books will be sold at bargain prices to ensure as many books as possible will find a new home. The proceeds will be entirely donated to the charity “Île aux Clowns”.
