The Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque (3, rue Genistre) is once again open to the public.

The T1 tram line has resumed service along the entire route.

Popemobile procession comes to an end
His Holiness Pope Francis arrives at his destination in the popemobile.

Popemobile sets off
His Holiness Pope Francis sets off in the popemobile from Cercle Cité (Place d'Armes).
The procession will pass along Rue Chimay, Boulevard F. D. Roosevelt, Pont Adolphe, Boulevard de la Pétrusse, Rue Heine and Avenue de la Liberté. It will then cross the Pont Adolphe again, before continuing along Avenue Marie-Thérèse to the Palais Épiscopal (Bishop's Palace).

His Holiness Pope Francis meets with national authorities and the civilian population at Cercle Cité.

Tram: section closed between Hamilius and Gare Centrale
The T1 tram line is closed between "Hamilius" and Luxembourg Central Station until around 14:00 The stops "Place de Metz" and "Paräisser Plaz / Place de Paris" are not being served. The tram continues to run on the following sections: "Luxexpo"–"Hamilius" and "Gare Centrale"–"Stadion".
AVL lines 2, 3, 4, 14, 18 and 33 will provide connections between the Ville Haute and Gare districts.

Arrival at the Grand Ducal Palace
Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess meet with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Grand Ducal Palace

Spectator zones
Spectator zones have been set up at key points, notably along the actual route taken by the popemobile. On this route, you will find compulsory pedestrian crossing points to ensure everyone's safety and guarantee accessibility.
These crossings, located at strategic points along the popemobile's route and at the other sites involved in the papal visit, enable pedestrians to continue to get around while the popemobile makes its way through the city. Crossing at these points will only be possible when indicated by the agents on site.

The city's public toilets will be accessible as usual, with the exception of those at the Cercle Municipal. Additional, portable public toilets and mobile water fountains have been set up in several strategic locations.

- Service Autobus (Bus Department) staff are on hand at the main transfer points to answer any questions you may have;

AVL bus lines diverted
All AVL bus lines operating between Luxembourg Central Station and the city centre will be diverted until around 18:00.
There will be no service to "F.D. Roosevelt" (Quais 1 and 2).

Saint-Esprit car park
Motorists may only enter and exit on Boulevard F.D. Roosevelt, in the direction of the Pont Viaduct, until 19:00.

Monterey car park
Motorists may only enter this car park via Avenue Monterey, with no access from Boulevard Prince Henri until 19:00.

Traffic in the city centre
Most of the main roads (Bd Royal, Ave Marie Thérèse and Bd Roosevelt) and other streets in the Ville Haute district are now closed to everything but pedestrians.

No parking in the city centre
Parking is now prohibited on most of the main roads and other streets in the Ville Haute area.

Traffic restrictions in the city centre
The Pont Adolphe is now closed to traffic, and the traffic restrictions remain in force on the Plateau Bourbon (Bd de la Pétrusse, Ave de la Liberté, Rue de la Grève, Rue de la Plébiscite, Rue Heine and Rue Dicks).

Knuedler car park
The car park will be closed from midnight to 20:00 tomorrow. It will be possible to exit the car park until 8:00 tomorrow (these entry and exit restrictions also apply to parking pass holders).

Glacis car park
The south end of the car park will be inaccessible from 22:00 today to 20:00 on Friday (27/9).

Cycling
The following vel'OH! stations are closed from now until 20:00 tomorrow:
- Metzer Plaz (Place de Metz),
- Gëlle Fra (Place de la Constitution),
- Knuedler (Place Guillaume II),
- Rousegaertchen (Place des Martyrs), and
- Paraiser Plaz (Rue Ste Zithe).
In addition, some cycle paths in the city centre and Gare district will be closed tomorrow.
Please plan your bike trips in advance using other available cycle routes.

Deliveries in the Gare district
For deliveries to the Gare district, vehicles must enter the area via Route d'Esch and Rue de Hollerich, or Pont Buchler and Rocade de Bonnevoie.

Getting around Luxembourg City
All parts of the city will remain accessible, but the Ville Haute and Gare districts will be heavily affected.
We recommend that wherever possible, you use the tram, AVL buses, RGTR buses and CFL trains for travelling to and getting around the capital. Please also allow extra travel time for potential disruptions.

Special changes (26/09)
- The Infobus point will be closed to the public: For assistance, please call 4796-2975 (8:00–18:00).
- The Info chantier office will be closed to the public: For assistance, please call 4796-4343 (8:30–17:00).
- The Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque will be open to the public from 14:00.
- The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) will be open from 9:00 to 18:00. However, guided tours are cancelled, and the Pétrusse Casemates will be closed.
- Cityshopping.lu Info Point: Moved to the LCTO, at 30, place Guillaume II, from 9:00 to 18:00.

Deliveries in the city centre
Tomorrow, the delivery zones in the areas affected by the Pope's visit will be subject to changed entry and exit points, and the time slot for deliveries will be moved forward to between 5:00 and 9:00. After this time, no deliveries will be possible.

First traffic and parking restrictions come into effect
The first series of parking and traffic restrictions (Rue Goethe and Rue Schiller) in the Gare district are now in place.
The City's Service Circulation (Traffic Department) will put in place appropriate signage.
