On Sunday, 2 March 2025, runners in the CGDIS Spiridon Run will leave the starting line in Gasperich. The City will take all necessary precautions to minimise restrictions for traffic and public transport.
Due to the race, which will start at the Centre National d'Incendie et de Secours, the following streets will be closed to traffic between 8:00 and 13:00:
- the section of Boulevard de Kockelscheuer between Rue Ch. W. Gluck and Rue Charles Darwin;
- Rue Charles Darwin;
- Rue de la Francophonie;
- Rue Lise Meitner;
- Rue François Hogenberg as of Rue Charles Darwin;
- Rue Rosalind Franklin and Rue Albert Einstein, although an access route to the shopping centre will remain open.
Access to Gasperich will remain possible at all times via the Gluck roundabout.
The City of Luxembourg's Service Circulation (Traffic Department) will ensure proper road signage is in place.
Please also note the following changes to public transport services:
- Buses on AVL line 29 will be rerouted in both directions via Rue des Scillas. The stops "Francophonie", "Gerhard Mercator" and "Howald, P+R Lux Sud" will not be served.
The City apologises for any inconvenience, and thanks residents and road and public-transport users in advance for their understanding.
