Shaping of urban development plans
As part of its commitment to urban development, as set out in the 2023-2029 mission statement of the College of Aldermen, the City is focusing this year on Luxembourg City's 24 districts. Together with residents, associations, business owners and local interest groups, it will draw up Quartierspläng (development plans) to further build community spirit and improve quality of life.
The 15-minute city
The concept of the "15-minute city" (a city where amenities can be reached within 15 minutes) will serve as the guiding principle in these plans to upgrade public spaces, transforming them into high-quality places for communities to thrive.
