LUGA gets set to blossom in Luxembourg

One year before the LUGA exhibition officially opens, LUGA ASBL has unveiled the outlines of its plans for the urban gardens, landscape and art installations, agricultural projects, living environments, and the programme of events.

The LUGA exhibition will be taking over four of Luxembourg City's most emblematic sites: the Alzette valley, the Edouard André Municipal Park, the Pétrusse Valley and Kirchberg, as well as the Nordstad, which encompasses the municipalities of Bettendorf, Diekirch, Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, Ettelbruck and Schieren.

The city's green spaces will be transformed by urban gardens, artwork and agricultural installations that will change our perception of cities by placing them at the centre of an extraordinary experience with a surprise around every corner. As visitors make their way through the exhibition, they will be inspired to examine their own perceptions, explore new frontiers and rethink the relationship between humans and the urban environment. For six months, this incomparable – and mostly free – event will serve as an open-air laboratory for new ideas and a platform for dialogue and experimentation, where each visitor will be able to contribute to a collective discussion on the future of cities.
