City of Luxembourg takes overs "repas sur roues" (Meals-on-Wheels) service

On 1 January 2025, the City of Luxembourg took over the "repas sur roues" (Meals-on-Wheels) service, which had been provided by the Office social since its launch on 1 April 1974. This service provides citizens aged 65 and over, as well as people with a medical certificate, with well-balanced meals that are adapted to their needs and delivered straight to their door.

Choice of two menus

Beneficiaries can now choose between two menus that are delivered chilled to the home: a classic menu or a vegetarian menu. Other options are available as well. Texture-modified meals and special diets are also available with a doctor's prescription. Each meal consists of a first course, a main course and a dessert. The price per menu is EUR 15, and an order form is distributed each week in paper format. Meals are delivered from Monday to Saturday and on public holidays, between the hours of 9:00 and 11:30. Sunday meals are delivered the day before. Our Service Seniors (Department of Senior Services) has taken charge of providing this service, which completes the range of services for senior citizens provided by the City of Luxembourg.
