What can be disposed of?

Accepted

All the usual household appliances:

  • Large household appliances: fridges, freezers, washing machines, electric ovens, dishwashers, etc.
  • Small household appliances: irons, electric toothbrushes, hair-dryers, coffee machines, microwave ovens, fans, small space heaters, etc.
  • IT and telecommunications equipment: computers, screens, mice, keyboards, external hard drives, scanners, printers, mobile phones, fax machines, etc.
  • Audio/video equipment: TVs, DVD players, cameras, photographic equipment, HiFi systems, radios etc.
  • Lighting equipment: lighting equipment designed for neon tubes, low-energy light bulbs and retrofit LEDs, etc.
  • Electric or electronic tools (used for DIY or gardening): electric drills, screwdrivers, hedge cutters, chainsaws, etc.
  • Battery or mains-operated toys and leisure and sports equipment: electric trains, home-trainers, etc.
  • Medical equipment for home use: inhalers, glucose monitors, etc.
  • Surveillance and monitoring equipment: smoke detectors, measuring devices, thermostats, alarm systems, etc.
Not accepted

Professional appliances, for example:

  • Fridges or freezers with glass tops or doors
  • Professional cooking equipment made entirely of stainless steel
  • Professional photocopiers
  • Fixed air conditioning equipment
  • Telephone exchange equipment
  • Lighting equipment meant solely for professional use and designed to be fitted with sodium-vapour, mercury-vapour or metal halide lamps.

Only large household and electronic appliances for which an Ecotrel recycling fee was paid as part of the purchase price are collected of charge on demand. All other appliances are professional appliances.

The fee is €20 per collection.

Small household and electronic devices must be taken to the Recycling Centre.

Only large household and electronic appliances are collected on demand. The fee is €20 per collection.

If you want to get rid of your large household and electronic appliances, please contact the Service Hygiène in advance to arrange a collection date.

Small household and electronic devices must be taken to the Recycling Centre.

They will not be taken away as part of on-demand home collections.
