On Wednesday, 2 October 2024, the "Fine Lines" photo exhibition was officially opened at Place de Strasbourg. In attendance were Chief Alderman Maurice Bauer, the students in 2e who took the photos as part of their elective photography course at the Lycée Aline Mayrisch, as well as photographer Anouk Flesch and teacher Séverine Bauer, who supervised the project.
Connection between sports and art
The theme of the exhibition is the connection between sports and art. Through tight framing and detail, the sixteen photographs on display bring out the aesthetics and dynamics of different sporting disciplines, such as football, horse riding, climbing, skateboarding, table tennis and basketball, and highlight the interplay between colour, form and movement.
