At a press conference, Minister of Mobility and Public Works Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg City Mayor Lydie Polfer, Alderman for mobility Patrick Goldschmidt, and Managing Director of Luxtram Helge Dorstewitz presented the plans to extend the tram network in Luxembourg City, in line with the National Mobility Plan 2035.
The project includes an underground section on Route d'Arlon and extensions to Kirchberg and Hollerich, with sections gradually becoming operational between 2027 and 2032.
Airport
The tramway will reach Luxembourg Airport in Findel in March 2025.
