The Metz Foundation

The Metz Foundation is a young European electric jazz trio, consisting of international musicians Alfredo Giménez (Spain), Tuomas Ruokonen (Finland) and Joël Metz (Luxembourg). At the core of their music is a belief in the power of cultural blending. The Metz Foundation’s bold sound draws from their shared passion for music rooted in the Afro-American tradition and improvisation, while remaining true to the distinct influences each member brings. This fusion results in a collective body of music that forms a raw, electric and danceable sound.
