On Thursday, 24 October 2024, the College of Aldermen, represented by Chief Alderman Maurice Bauer, opened this year's third photo exhibition in Merl Park. The opening was also attended by Anne Calteux, representative of the European Commission in Luxembourg, Claude Heiser, director of the Athénée de Luxembourg and other senior staff members, including Valérie Sassel, head of the Development project, as well as teachers and students from the Athénée de Luxembourg. Eilo Elvinger, Luxembourg photographer and winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year prize awarded in 2017 by London's Natural History Museum, was also present at the event.

The theme of the "Inégalités & Injustices" (Inequalities and Injustices) exhibition, which will be displayed on sixteen panels in Merl Park until January 2025, refers to the unequal distribution of wealth as perceived by students at the Athénée de Luxembourg, a phenomenon that reinforces existing social inequalities and fuels feelings of injustice.
