The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has announced the opening of the new Welcome Pavilion at the Pétrusse Casemates. This marks the end of a five-year phase of intensive restoration and safety works (2017-2022) aimed at preserving these historic structures while creating an engaging, modern visitor experience. The Casemates, one of Luxembourg's most impressive historic sites, now link past and present in a new and moving way. True to the theme "Rocks coming to Life", they can now be presented just as we imagined them.
Until now, these underground tunnels could only be visited together with a tour guide, but now you can explore them on your own and at your own pace.
The new welcome pavilion serves as a central access point to the Pétrusse Casemates and as an additional security station. Visitors can purchase tickets to explore this historic site throughout the year.
The Pétrusse Casemates, now as accessible as the Bock Casemates, offer a unique experience that appeals to international visitors and local residents alike.
