Piece by Piece

Inspired by Eva L'Hoest's exhibition The Mindful Hand., this workshop invites the children to explore memory through touch, pattern and repetition. Using the ancient art of mosaic, the children will design and create their own memory game by crafting pairs of tiles with unique shapes and colours. As each piece is put together, they consider how memories are formed – fragmented yet connected, like the mosaics themselves. They play with patterns, discover hidden connections and go home with a game that holds their own visual stories.
