Fake stickers seeking to scam users have been found on a number of parking ticket machines in Luxembourg City. These "EasyPark" stickers invite users to pay their parking fee by scanning a QR code. However, this QR code directs users to a scam website where they are asked to share personal information.
The City wishes to remind the public that only the "Indigo Neo" app, which requires a mobile download and the creation of a user account, can be used to pay for on-street parking in Luxembourg City. An explanatory sticker displaying the words "Indigo neo" is affixed to the back of the city's parking meters.
The City is working to remove the fake stickers as quickly as possible, and a complaint has been lodged with the Grand Ducal Police.
