On Wednesday, 18 December 2024, a delegation from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (APCAE), led by His Excellency Dr Yang Wanming, president of the association, was welcomed to City Hall by Lydie Polfer, mayor of Luxembourg City and Emile Eicher, president of Syvicol.
This meeting presented attendees with the opportunity to discuss various topics central to APCAE and particularly relevant to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, including friendship between peoples and international cooperation among others. Founded in 1954, APCAE was created by ten national public organisations. Today, it aims to lay the social foundations for friendly relations between China and other nations, and is committed to human progress and global solidarity.
