Art and culture
Le Mur - rue Saint Esprit

The 17th edition of LE MUR Luxembourg features a piece by Toulouse-based graffiti artist Cédric Lascours (artist name: Reso ) that embodies the evolution of visual graffiti culture.

Father of " wildstyle"

The father of "wildstyle", Reso uses bold colours to convey his obsession with letters, which he constantly re-explores by adapting and applying new graphic techniques, going as far as conceiving abstract creations where movement – energetic and free – prevails and the curve becomes the key element in his creations. His intuitive work exhibits energy, movement and the circular nature of things, manifesting the progression and trajectory of a life enriched by human and artistic experiences.

Born in 1975, Reso now enjoys international success and, as a leading figure in the urban arts, is called upon in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East to create – often imposing – art works, alternating between lettering, characters and realistic scenes, but also to organise numerous graffiti events. During his artist residency in 2020 at the Montresso Foundation's "Jardin Rouge" in Morocco, a veritable artist's laboratory, Reso adopted new techniques and integrated textiles into his creations, while retaining his universe of signs, shapes, colours and gestures, all of which are intrinsic to his compositions. He has returned to this artist's oasis five times since.
