On the weekend of 22 and 23 June 2024, Luxembourg City was buzzing with celebrations for the Grand Duke's birthday. On the eve of National Day, the traditional torchlight procession made its way through the city centre, followed by a spectacular fireworks display. On National Day, spectators gathered to watch the annual military parade, while families flocked to the popular "Spillfest" (play festival).

Music lovers got their groove on to popular modern music at the "City Sounds" festival, a series of open-air concerts with DJs, renowned international performers and big local acts held on 22 and 23 June at Champ du Glacis.
