Season Opening​ at Schluechthaus

On the weekend of 29 and 30 April 2025, the City of Luxembourg is pleased to invite the public to the Old Slaughterhouse (Schluechthaus) in Hollerich to kick off the 2025 Schluechthaus events season over a weekend packed with fun things to do. Spanning two days, the event will see the Schluechthaus transformed into a testing ground for a heady combination of music, urban art and skateboarding culture in a lively, immersive atmosphere.

On Saturday, 29 March, live music will reverberate around the skatepark's walls and ramps. In this unique setting, music will take on a distinct dimension, immersing visitors fully in the alternative scene. In between sets, visitors will get a chance to find out more about the the site's future artists-in-residence through an audio-visual installation.

On Sunday, 30 March, the skatepark will host a number of workshops, including skateboarding, screen-printing, lino printing, graffiti and deejaying. Throughout the day, visitors will also be treated to roaming performances and interactive DJ sets, affording them a chance to explore, create and experience the energy more fully.
