Vélo en ville

As summer sets in, the City of Luxembourg has announced the resumption of the "Vélo en ville" project, previously managed by the non-profit organisation Delta, for bicycle rental in Luxembourg City. This project not only offers a practical solution for the myriad visitors to the capital, and anyone wishing to take a bike ride through the city, but above all, a valuable educational and employment scheme for the many vulnerable young people who are employed to carry out day-to-day repair and maintenance and to manage the fleet of bikes.

The workshop offers a wide array of bikes (for children and adults), tandems and e-bikes, available for hire for anywhere between an hour and a week, with discounts for groups (4 people or more), under 15s, and young people over 15 who have a youth card (carte jeunes) issued by the National Agency for Youth Information (Agence Nationale pour l'Information des Jeunes). Accessories such as child seats and helmets are also available for hire.

The workshop is at 8, Bisserweg in the Grund. It is open from April to September, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 19:30, and weekends and public holidays, 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 19:30. From October to March, the workshop is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 14:00.
