Surrounded by 20 pipers, the audience is plunged into the heart of a performance that revisits the most famous work of minimal music.
For this reinterpretation of the best-known work by Terry Riley, a leading figure in American minimal music, the piper and artistic director Erwan Keravec has pulled out all the stops: as well as adapting the original score, each musician is installed on a platform, forming a 20 metres in diameter circle with the audience at the centre. Surrounded in this way, the audience feels the full harmonic power of the bagpipes and bombards. It's an immersive experience like no other.
