Overview
Founded in June 1979, "ons stad" is a magazine that chronicles the social development City of Luxembourg through articles and features on history, culture and society. Since then, it has developed into a veritable encyclopaedia of information on Luxembourg City.
Since 2018, Simone Beck has been the magazine's publishing coordinator, working in close collaboration with the editorial committee comprising Astrid Agustsson (Head of the City's Service Communication et relations publiques), Christiane Sietzen and Guy Thewes (director of the municipal museums).

Digital collection of past issues
As all back issues have now been digitised, its entire content from previous years is now easily available.
Readers can browse past issues and use a search engine to look for specific keywords, such as street names, buildings, districts and authors.
"ons stad" is one of the first magazines in Luxembourg to include a search engine on its website that offers full-text searches on all back issues.
Protecting the environment through sustainable practices
Starting with issue no. 131 in 2025, this magazine is distributed to subscribers only. It is no longer distributed to all households in Luxembourg City.
This policy is in line with the City's efforts to conserve natural resources and reduce waste.
