During the 17th edition of CinEast, the Central and Eastern European Film Festival in Luxembourg, audiences will enjoy a broad selection of some of the best recent films produced in more than 20 countries of the former Eastern Bloc. In addition to over 120 screenings in cinemas, CinEast will also make an exciting selection of films available online.

Between 3 and 20 October, more than 65 feature films and 50 short films of all genres will be screened in Luxembourg at the Cinémathèque, ,Ciné Utopia, Kinepolis Kirchberg, neimënster, Ancien Cinema (Vianden) and other venues in and around the city.

This year the festival presents a Focus on Croatia with numerous screenings of recent films from and about Croatia, a Croatian evening, an exhibition of the Croatian artist Ivan Radman at Ancien Cinema Vianden, several Croatian guests and a ciné-concert.

The festival’s thematic cycle ‘United We Stand’ will be reflected in an extensive photo exhibition (neimënster), giving visitors the chance to discover a selection of photographic projects exploring the need for unity and solidarity in its different dimensions.
