Course description

Regular djembe practice goes well beyond simple percussion; she builds bonds of cohesion and listening within the group.

Each beat resonates like the pulse of a united community, promoting the memorization of varied rhythms and the coordination of the body in harmonious movement.

Percussion, by its very nature, offers a haven of calm and serenity, freeing the mind from tension and stress.

But beyond their calming effect, they require total concentration, attentive listening and self-confidence which strengthen over time.

In this collective learning, everyone finds their place, developing their sociability and creativity to the rhythm of the djembes.

Guided by the richness of African rhythms, we embark on a musical and cultural journey, exploring new horizons and discovering ancient traditions that still resonate today.

And at the heart of this adventure, learning the djembe is not limited to technique; it invites us to understand the history and customs that surround it, to learn to make our instrument vibrate like a living being, bearer of traditions and ancient stories.
