What to Expect

In Connection in Motion, we will dive into the essence of contact improvisation by exploring connection in its many forms—connection with ourselves, the floor, and each other. This workshop invites you to experience the dynamic interplay of movement through listening, responding, giving, and receiving.

Together, we’ll explore the principles of sharing and using weight, discovering the balance of supporting and being supported. You’ll practice falling and rising with ease, both individually and with a partner, while fostering trust and awareness. Different approaches to lifting and being lifted will be introduced, emphasizing playfulness and curiosity in each interaction.

This is a space to connect deeply with motion, explore the ground beneath you, and create meaningful exchanges with others in a supportive and creative environment. No prior experience required—just an open mind and a willingness to move!
