As Cosima Von Bonin’s work is deeply rooted in popular culture and cinematography, she and her friends curated a screening programme of iconic movies that relate to her works, both literally and metaphorically. One short film and one feature film will be screened at each session, with films by directors such as Jean Painlevé, Pier Paolo Pasolini or João Pedro Rodrigues.

Short film: La Ricotta (1963) by Pier Paolo Pasolini

Part of the Ro.Go.Pa.G omnibus film with movies by Rossellini, Godard and Gregoretti, La Ricotta explores the backstage of a film production. Mixing humour and drama, it follows the tragic fate of a movie extra starving on the set of a film about the passion of the Christ.

Feature film: The Judson Church Horse Dance: Selections from Day is Done and The Offer (Extracurricular Activity Projective Reconstruction #33) (2011) by Mike Kelley.

An evening of performance and music by Mike Kelley presented at the Judson Memorial Church in New York City in 2009. Including:The Judson Church Horse Dance and the Horse Dance of The False Virgin and live performances of instrumental soundtrack music from Kelley’s Day is Done, composed in collaboration with Scott Benzel. Plus the world premiere of The Offer (Extracurricular Activity Projective Reconstruction #33), a composition for twelve horns and a vocalist.
