On Monday, 24 July 2024, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen held a ceremony for City of Luxembourg staff who were among the top performers in the 17th ING Night Marathon Luxembourg. At the ceremony, prizes were awarded to the women and men who completed the marathon, as well as to the fastest male and female runners in the half-marathon and team-run races.

In all, 138 members of the City of Luxembourg's staff took part in the race. 5 runners finished the full marathon of 42.195 km (1 woman and 4 men), 85 runners finished the half-marathon (20 women and 65 men), 9 groups took part in the team run (14 women and 22 men, with mixed teams), and 12 runners (all women) took part in the 5k Run for Success.

As is the case every year, City of Luxembourg staff who took part in the marathon made a donation to charity. This year, the sum of €2,225 was raised for the MOving TOgetheR (MOTOr) programme, which was created as part of a partnership between various players in the healthcare field, namely the Service National de Psychiatrie Juvénile (HRS), the Rehazenter, the Luxembourg Institute of Health, the University of Luxembourg and the Clinique de l'Obésité Infantile (CHL). The programme offers multidisciplinary care for overweight and obese children.

In addition, the sum of €470 collected as part of the inclusive Roll & Run race was donated to Blëtz ASBL. This association helps stroke victims and their loved ones, and works to improve the inclusion of these people in society.
