..Fancy some baroque? What would music be without the towering figure of Johann Sebastian Bach? At times, he seems to represent the baroque period so completely that one forgets quite how many other composers were also producing music at the time. Probably none of them could have imagined that, 300 years later, their music would still be remembered: Georg Friedrich Händel, a German who made England his adopted home, Nicola Porpora, an Italian also known as a singing teacher, and of course Antonio Vivaldi.
