Propulsion#3 Laureates.

Luxembourg – Jambal

This young Luxembourgish quartet blends improvised melodies, fragmented compositions, and sophisticated harmonies. Their musical ability and fresh stage presence transport the audience into a universe oscillating between British jazz and world music influences.

Grand Est Region – Cactus 4tet

Cactus 4tet explores 21st-century jazz with a collective and dynamic approach. Each musician pushes the boundaries of the genre, creating an innovative and immersive musical experience.

Belgium – Tristan Bernoud 5tet

Led by vibraphonist Tristan Bernoud, this Brussels-based quintet represents the new wave of jazz. Inspired by the New York scene, they present original compositions that blend collective energy with vibrant creativity.

For the third time, the PAUSE cycle takes part in the Propulsion transnational support program, a cross-border jazz springboard.

Discover the winners of the PropulsionBANDS program—three promising ensembles from France’s Grand Est region, Luxembourg, and Belgium—who will each perform in a 30-minute showcase format.
