Parc du Ban de Gasperich

Ban de Gasperich park

On Monday, 10 June 2024, the Order of Architects and Consulting Engineers (OAI) hosted the awards ceremony of the prestigious Bauhärepräis OAI 2024. A jury independent of the OAI, made up of national and international members, selected the winners from among 301 projects submitted in nine different categories.

In the "Land development/urban planning/landscaped areas" category, the City won the Bauhärepräis OAI 2024 award for its municipal park in Ban de Gasperich. Described by the jury as "a green lung for this new district", it was also praised for the "park layout with gradual growth" and "multi-use spaces for all".

As mayor, I am delighted to receive this award, as we have in previous years, for one of the City of Luxembourg's major urban development projects. This award is once again proof of the quality of the projects we have developed and implemented, and recognises the City's efforts and commitment in driving projects forward. The new park in Ban de Gasperich is intended to serve all residents and visitors to our wonderful capital, and Luxembourg's largest park also helps to promote biodiversity and environmental protection.
