Fred Barreto Group

About

The Brazilian guitarist, Fred Barreto is one of a kind! He is one of those musicians who are recognizable from the first notes played! Barreto means serious when it comes to play solid Rock or raw Blues and there's no need to try finding similarities with other guitar players: Fred Barreto is an accomplished guitarist and does his own 'thing' with great talent, virtuosity and soul.

When teaming up with Nadja Prange (organ), Daniel Fastro (bass) and Michael Stein (drums), they form Fred Barreto Group, or just FBG.

This passionate Luxembourg-based Blues-Rock Quartet combines the timeless energy of Rock music and the soulful vibes of Blues with a new-fashioned, distinctive character and vibrant drive, which can be felt and heard especially during their live performances.

FBG has played over 150 concerts in the last years, with highlights such as opening for Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and Ana Popovic, sharing the stage in festivals with bands/artists such as Canned Heat, Robben Ford, Kirk Fletcher, travelling to Reunion Island to play Dekatali Festival amongst others.

Fred Barreto Group's first single "So Many Things" was released in 2016. In 2019, followed the second single, "Time To Escape", and the "For So Long" EP.

In October 2021, FBG released their first full-length album, "Moving On". Since then, after the release party in Luxembourg, they have already toured with their new album in France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Heavy Petrol

About

Formed in 2011 by five friends with a shared love for blues music, Heavy Petrol initially covered blues classics. However, their passion and creativity soon led them down the path of songwriting and they released their debut album 'Petrol Train' in 2017.

Driven by their blend of influences from Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, and Joe Bonamassa, Heavy Petrol played numerous concerts, enabling them to gain a certain popularity.

Today, the band comprises six musicians: Woody on vocals and harmonica, Chris and Steve on guitars, Dan on bass, Konni on drums and Elise on vocals.

Their journey has seen them share stages with acclaimed artists such as Brother Dege & the Brotherhood of Blues, The Allman Betts Band, Ana Popovic, and Junior Mack.

Heavy Petrol proudly represented Luxembourg at the European Blues Challenge 2019 in Ponta Delgada, Azores.

Following the success of their debut, Heavy Petrol continued to captivate audiences with their second album 'The Last Barrel', released to critical acclaim in 2020.

Their latest single, 'Sirens, ' released in October 2022, delves into themes of temptation and introspection, showcasing their evolving musical process.

Heavy Petrol is now ready for another exciting chapter as they prepare to enter the studio in April 2024 to record a new EP.
