Nothing predestined a singer-violinist from the small Ukrainian town of Cherkassy and three French musicians to meet, and yet... In Alsace, Yuliia Vydovska crossed paths with Nello Dronne, Maxime Epp and Lucas Habe. One day, in conversation, they took a traditional Ukrainian song and adapted it into a jazz version. The idea of a repertoire mixing jazz and traditional Ukrainian music was born. The result is a resolutely modern sound that appeals to both jazz fans and younger audiences looking for something new. Their music is sensitive and lively, at times gentle, at times unpredictable, made up of Yuliia's beautiful Slavic voice, Lucas's double bass, Maxime's drums and Nello's piano. A journey from East to West.
