European elections – Information sessions
European elections on 9 June 2024
The Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees (Ministère de la Famille, des Solidarités, du Vivre ensemble et de l'Accueil) has sought the support of Info-Handicap to raise awareness of and provide information on accessible elections, with particular focus on people with disabilities' right to vote.
The information sessions were held at strategic venues, and the topics that were addressed were crucial to ensuring that all citizens are able to vote. The topics included people with disabilities' right to vote, the voting process, options for getting to polling stations, and available technical assistance. An open discussion and Q&A session was also planned.
Speed-dating session
Info-Handicap hosted a political "speed-dating" session on 6 May 2024. At the event, people with disabilities were able to interact directly with representatives from the different political parties, thereby fostering open and constructive dialogue.
