Gatherings that often start out to celebrate a particular milestone such as a birthday, a marriage or a graduation often turn into something else. Bringing together many different people with different viewpoints, needs and desires might be risky even in daylight but it’s even more dangerous when the lights go down and drinks and stress are poured on top of it and everyone’s obliged to have fun.

However, that’s a perfect recipe for comedy, drama or a gleeful combination of both, so it’s no wonder that parties are a recurring feature in cinema.

Our summer programme proposes a different party every day, from rehearsal dinners to weddings, from carnivals to costume parties, from New Year’s binges to alcohol-soaked merrymaking and from outdoor picnics to sumptuous dances. And thanks to the magic of cinema, you, in the audience, will become… the life of the party!
