Works schedule

  • Commencement of work: Spring 2025
  • Expected duration of the works: 225 working days
  • Planned completion: Spring 2026

Traffic information

For vehicular traffic:

The sections being worked on will be closed off to traffic, one by one, as the project progresses. Throughout the works, traffic will be open one-way on Rue Charles Martel except during Phase 1, when Section 1 will be closed to all traffic (except local residents and suppliers/deliveries) due to works to replace the sewer lines.

Pedestrian access and access for emergency services will be guaranteed throughout the duration of the works. Vehicular access to private property will be maintained as long as physically possible.

For businesses and deliveries:

The City of Luxembourg will try to ensure access for deliveries to local businesses throughout the duration of the works.

Changes to traffic flows will be implemented as the works progress. Appropriate signage will be put in place by the Service Circulation (Traffic Depatment). The City of Luxembourg thanks local residents, businesses and road users for their understanding and regrets any inconvenience that the works may cause.

For public transport users:

Access to the bus stop outside the Luxemborug City Conservatoire will remain open throughout most of the works. However, the temporary closure of this stop will be necessary during certain works (a replacement stop will most likely be planned for Rue Marguerite De Brabant).
